Michelle SAYS!

Did you know..............
Brampton Dentist, Orange Juice, Dentist in Brampton, Dentist Brampton, Brampton Family Dentist,- A glass of orange juice has as much sugar as 3.5 doughnuts.
- People are aware pop is bad for your teeth, but there is less sugar in pop than in some fruit smoothies.
- A boxed fruit juice can contain as much sugar as 4 doughnuts.
- Fruit smoothies can contain up to 35grams of sugar which is equivalent to 3.5 doughnuts.
- The sweetest coffee at Starbucks is the Venti White Chocolate Mocha with whipped cream, it contains 74 grams of sugar which is the equivalent of 10 bowls of Nestle Golden Grahams cereal.

As damaging as sugar is to our teeth most of these drinks also contain high levels of acid which can cause erosion. Constant exposure strips the hard protective layer off the tooth called enamel and could dissolve the entire tooth. Cavities form when bacteria in the mouth mixes with sugar, leading to decay. Erosion occurs when chemicals strip the minerals off  the teeth.
